I am sorry to hear that the HP Smart app has stopped working on your PC and you need to reinstall it to utilize the fax and scan features, follow these steps:

 

Uninstall HP Smart:

  • Go to the Windows Start menu and open "Settings."
  • Click on "Apps" or "Apps & features."
  • Scroll down to find "HP Smart" in the list of installed applications.
  • Click on it, then select "Uninstall."

Restart Your PC:

  • After uninstalling, restart your computer to ensure any residual data or settings are cleared.

Download HP Smart:

  • Visit the Microsoft Store on your PC or open the Microsoft Store app.
  • Search for "HP Smart."
  • Click "Get" to download and install the app on your PC.

Install HP Smart:

  • Once downloaded, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  • Open HP Smart and sign in with your HP account if prompted.

Set Up Your Printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app and click on the "+" button to add your printer.
  • Follow the prompts to connect your printer to the app.

Test Fax and Scan:

  • Use the HP Smart application to ensure that all functions, including fax and scan, are working properly.
