@Donewiththis9, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you may be encountering an issue with your printer's interface after attempting to set up the scanner. Here are some specific steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network. You might need to check both the wireless settings and any physical connections if you are using cable networks.
  • Verify that the printer's wireless signal is enabled. Navigate to the printer's control panel, select the Wireless or Network section, and ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on.

Reset Printer Network Settings:

  • If you previously connected the printer to a network, you might need to reset the network settings. This can usually be done in the Network settings menu on the printer's control panel.

Enable Web Services:

  • If the printer control panel only shows scan options, try enabling Web Services or reconnecting to HP Connected services from the printer settings.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Ensure that you have installed all necessary drivers and software on your computer using HP Easy Start. Download it from 123.hp.com/setup. This will also help establish a reliable connection between your computer and the printer.

Enable Scan to Computer:

  • Use the HP Printer Assistant: In Windows, search for and select the name of your printer to open HP Printer Assistant. Click Print, Scan & Fax > Scan > Manage Scan to computer > Enable.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for any firmware updates for your printer, which might resolve connectivity issues and fix any bugs.

I hope this helps.
