If your HP printer's scanner is not sending documents to your email, here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Email Server Settings

Some email providers (like Gmail or Yahoo) block access from third-party apps for security reasons. You may need to:

  • Enable access for less secure apps.
  • Create an App Password if two-step verification is enabled.

Configure Scan to Email via Embedded Web Server (EWS)

If your printer supports it, you can set up the Scan to Email feature using the printer’s EWS:

  • Open a browser and enter your printer’s IP address.
  • Go to Scan > Email Setup.
  • Enter SMTP server details (e.g., smtp.gmail.com for Gmail).
  • Authenticate using your email credentials or app password.

Scan and Send from Printer Control Panel

Once configured:

  • Load the document.
  • Tap Scan > Email on the printer.
  • Enter recipient email or select from address book.
  • Tap Send or Start Scan.
