My scanner will not make adjustments to the document after it scans.

I understand your HP DeskJet Plus 4155 scanner is not allowing adjustments to the scanned document after scanning, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
 

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, restarting the printer can resolve temporary glitches. Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for updates through the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer and that there are no issues with the connection. If you're using a wireless connection, ensure that both the printer and your computer are connected to the same network.
  • Check Scanner Settings: Verify the scanner settings in the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel. Ensure that settings like resolution and document type are configured correctly for your needs.
  • Reset HP Smart App (if applicable): If you're using the HP Smart app, try resetting the app. Sometimes, app settings can affect scanner functionality.
  • Check for Software Updates: Make sure your operating system is up to date, as well as any relevant scanning software on your computer.
  • Reinstall Scanner Drivers (if necessary): If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the scanner drivers on your computer. This can sometimes resolve issues related to scanning functionality.
