Product: HP office jet pro 6978
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to stop my fax machine from picking up my landline calls when the printer is on.  I have Verizon Fios as my Provider with VOIP. If someone calls they get that screeching sound of a fax, instead of Voicemail or me.  Do I need a converter?  Thank you

A couple of options...

 

➡️  Switch off Auto Answer on the Fax.

OR

➡️  Set the ring number on the fax to pick up AFTER the answering machine has answered.
