I just updated my Print and Scan doctor to the new version 5.4 and now it doesnt work, when opted to scan for my product, the progress bar get 75% done , then a window pops up saying there was a problem, then closes the program. the previous Scan Doctor worked fine, and i dont see how to uninstall it or repair it , or get back the older version.  any help?

@skibum222, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

Recommend you to uninstall Print and Scan Doctor from programs and features.

 

Press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box, 

Type %temp% in the Run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.

It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files).

Restart the PC again. 

Run HP Support Assistant to detect your printer and it would also help you in installing all the required software and drivers for your printer. Click here for assistance.
