think I have HP IRIS sw but when I select scan-OCR, popup on pc screen is MS Office, and it can't seem to handshake

Hi,

Do you scan using the HP Scan software on your printer or from the printer front panel?

 

Assuming you scan from the printer front panel, ensure you select Scan > Computer and then your computer name (with no added words), additional options are provided by the operating system (WSD Discovery) and will use MS applications.

 

I would also suggest scanning from your HP Software on your computer and check, as well click on Manage Scan to Computer, ensure the feature is enabled and that you select the EXACT name as listed by that dialog.
