Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates.   1. first download only HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw/M283fdw Printer Full Software Solution 
  2. here you can find the OCR software, download only: Readiris Pro 16 for HP 

 

What you need to do now:

  1. Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list. 
  2. Restart the PC
  3. Close all programs
  4. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE, see 1.
  5. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  6. Restart the System again
  7. Open Explorer, double-click on the ZIP File (download folder) and unzip
  8. Close all programs
  9. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the Setup in the unzip folder
  10. Restart the PC
  11. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

 

Now start HP Scan and OCR is now available.
