Product: officejet 3830 all in one

 

When I try to scan   message says it cant locate the computer, hP sais i need to hook up a cable.....however puter has no port for  the cable

I'd like to help!

 

To assist better -

 

  1. What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android or an iPhone? 
  2. Is the printer connected to home or public network?
  3. What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
  4.  I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?
