Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 All-in-One Printer

I need help I am trying to scan , error says scanner in use or printer canceled scan. Any suggestions. I went through the steps,

unplugged the scanner/printer, restarted computer and modem. still not working.

I understand you are unable to scan.

 

To assist better -

  • How is the printer connect to the device USB or wireless?
  • What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android or an iPhone? 
  • What application are you trying to scan from?
