Hi @Hubert021,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Connections:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the network or computer.
  • If using a USB connection, verify that the cable is securely connected.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your computer or mobile device.
  • Restart the printer by turning it off, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.

Update or Reinstall Software:

  • Ensure that the HP printer software or drivers are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
  • If problems persist, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the HP software.

Check Network Connection:

  • Make sure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Check that the network is functioning properly.

Use Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Windows users can run the built-in printer troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and see the option to "Run the troubleshooter."

Clear Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, clearing the print queue can resolve issues. Cancel all documents in the print queue.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Review any other error messages that appear on the printer display panel or on your computer screen for further clues.

Scan Using HP Smart or HP Scan and Capture:

  • Try using the HP Smart app or HP Scan and Capture from the Microsoft Store to scan your documents.

Test with another Device:

  • If possible, try using a different computer or device to initiate a scan.

Check for Paper Obstructions:

  • Open the scanner lid and ensure no obstructions are preventing the scanner from operating.

I hope this helps.
