I understand that your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3835 is copying very slowly or not copying at all. Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Power Reset the Printer

Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve performance issues:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn on the printer.

Check for Firmware Updates

Outdated firmware can cause performance issues:

  • Visit the HP support page.
  • Enter your printer model: HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3835.
  • Download and install any available firmware updates.

Copy Settings Check

Ensure the copy quality settings are not set to "Best" unnecessarily:

  • On the printer control panel, tap Copy.
  • Tap Settings or the gear icon.
  • Set Quality to Normal or Draft for faster copying.
  • Try copying again.

Check for Paper or Ink Issues

  • Ensure you're using supported paper types and sizes.
  • Check ink levels from the printer control panel or HP Smart app.
  • Replace any low or empty cartridges.
