Printer won't scan

I am sorry to hear that your printer is not scanning documents, I would request you to please follow the steps:

 

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Accessing EWS: Open a web browser and enter your printer’s IP address to access the EWS. You can find the IP address from the printer's control panel or by printing a network configuration page.
  • Enable Webscan: Once in EWS, navigate to “Settings,” expand the “Security” section, select “Administrator Settings,” and enable “Webscan.” Save the changes.

Perform a Network Setup Check:

  • Restore Network Settings: On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, 
  • go to “Network Setup” > “Restore Network Settings,” and confirm the changes. 
  • This may reset the printer’s network configuration, correcting any connectivity issues.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Check if there are any driver updates available on the HP website for your printer model. 
  • Installing the latest drivers can resolve software-related scanning issues.

Ensure Proper Document Placement:

Make sure the document is correctly placed on the scanner glass or in the document feeder and that no paper jams are present.
