Hi there,

 

I'd like to know what this "retrying" error means. Is this an issue on my end, or is the fax number I am trying to connect to simply turned off/out of order? It has showed this for several minutes now.

Update: The fax machine did not answer. I got an email stating this was the reason. I can't seem to delete a post so disregard.

When you see “Retrying” while sending a mobile fax, it usually means your fax is knocking on the other end’s door but no one is picking up. In your case, since you later got the email saying the machine didn’t answer, that’s exactly what happened — the line on the other side was likely busy, turned off, or just not accepting faxes at that moment.

 

Nothing’s wrong on your end — think of it like calling someone and hearing the phone ring endlessly. You can always try again later, and it should go through once the receiving machine is ready.
