I've started getting the Scanning is Currently Unavailable message in HP Smart. It used to work fine. I've installed the latest drivers, and tried the recommendations on HP website. Basic printing works okay, and HP Smart shows it Ready.

I'd be happy to help you! 

 

This could be caused as this printer is not compatible with Windows 11. Click here 

 

However, if you are using a different OS, try the following steps below. 

 

Reset the printer

  • Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
  • If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it.
  • Press the power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer to complete the reset.
