dear all,

cannot remove certain e-mail addresses from HP officejet pro 8020 printer: printer asking to generate a pincode !

Problem: the to be removed e-mail accounts do no longer exist ... so no pincode is not available !

Have tried to reset the printer but e-mail addresses remain.

 

How can we remove the invalid e-mail addresses from printer ?

If you're unable to remove old email accounts from your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer because it's asking for a pin code that you don't have, you can try the following steps:

Factory Reset:

  • To restore the printer to the original factory defaults 
  • 1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 
  • 2. Touch Printer Maintenance. 
  • 3. Touch Restore. 
  • 4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored. 
  • 5. Touch Continue

Web Interface:

  • Access the printer's web interface from a computer or device connected to the same network.
  • Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar. You can find the IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer.
  • Navigate to the printer's settings, and look for the email accounts or scan-to-email settings. Delete the old email accounts from there.

HP Smart App:

  • If your printer supports the HP Smart app, try using it to manage printer settings remotely.
  • Install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or tablet, and connect it to your printer.
  • Look for email or scan-to-email settings within the app and try to remove the old email accounts.
