can I scan 35mm slides with my envy 4500?

This printer is not made to scan film slides.

Scanners scan film slides.

 

That said,

If you are desperate and / or you wish to take on the task,

the following Might work.

 

How-To: Turn Slides and Negatives Into Digital Photos 

 

I've been reminded by a colleague here in the Community that the amount of light might provided in the design might not be sufficient. ??

 

Best option is to have it done professionally (if you can find a film processing store)

Or

Purchase a device designed for the job (Scanner).
