Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

hp office jet 6950
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I log into HP Smart and see my Hp Office Jet 6950 all in one printer ready.
I click on scan and appears the message " the scan is not available at the moment".
The diagnostics inside the hp smart confirm that there are no problems.

@laura-57, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to scan from the HP Smart app. Are you able to print?

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the PC

Try to scan. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step

Check for any pending Windows updates and reinstall the HP Smart app from Microsoft Store.

Try scanning.

  • Make sure the printer and the MAC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
