Hi @rbs8610 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue of not receiving the PIN for the "Scan to Email" function on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-In-One Printer, follow these steps:

1. Check Email Spam/Junk Folder

Ensure that the email containing the PIN has not been sent to your spam or junk folder.

2. Verify Email Address

Make sure the email address you have configured in the printer settings is correct. Sometimes a typo can cause the email to be sent to the wrong address.

3. Resend the PIN

Try resending the PIN to your email. Sometimes there might be a delay in receiving the email.

4. Restart Printer and Network Devices

Power cycle your printer and network devices (router, modem). This can sometimes resolve network-related issues.

5. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. An outdated firmware can cause various issues, including email-related problems.

6. Reconfigure Scan to Email

If the above steps do not work, you may need to reconfigure the "Scan to Email" settings. Here’s how to do it:

Reconfiguring "Scan to Email" Settings:

Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Connect your printer to the same network as your computer.
  • Open a web browser on your computer and type the printer's IP address in the address bar. (You can find the IP address on the printer's control panel under network settings).

Login to EWS:

  • You might need to log in. The default credentials are often "admin" for both username and password, but this can vary.

Navigate to Scan to Email Setup:

  • Go to the "Settings" or "Network" tab.
  • Find "Scan to Email" settings.

Set Up Scan to Email:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the email configuration. You will need your email service provider's SMTP server settings.

Test the Configuration:

  • Send a test email to ensure the settings are correct and you can receive emails.

7. HP Smart App

You can also use the HP Smart app to configure and manage your printer settings:

  1. Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Add your printer to the app.
  3. Go to "Printer Settings" and find the "Scan to Email" setup.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your email.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
