scanner icon on my deck top

I just set up my new HP Envy 6555e printer/scanner and I don't see a scanner icon on the bottom of my screen like the other HP printer/scanner I had  before. Could you please help me with this.

Relevant to supported versions of Windows

If by the "bottom of the screen", you refer to the Windows Taskbar

AND

If you have installed the HP Smart application,

Then

You can add the application icon to the Taskbar

Optionally, a shortcut for the HP Smart application can also be added to the Desktop

HP Smart – Windows – Add HP Smart Shortcut to Taskbar

Start (Menu) > All Apps 

Search or Scroll down – Right-Click on the HP Smart app > Pin to Taskbar

Windows 10 /  Windows 11

Start (Menu) > All Apps 

Search or Scroll down - Find, Press and Hold the HP Smart app

Drag the app to the Desktop and Release
