My printer deskjet 2700 do not scan on my computer, its showing driver not available, please help me to solve the issue of the driver and which driver should i install in my computer

I understand the HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One printer series should have drivers available for Windows 8.1 64-bit. 

 

Here's how you can troubleshoot the scanner driver issue and get it working:
 

1. Download and Install the Latest Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website for your specific printer model: Software and Drivers for HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer series
  • Select your operating system (Windows 8.1 64-bit)
  • Under "Software and Drivers," you'll see options for download. There might be two options:
    • HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software: This is recommended and includes print, scan, and other functionalities.
    • Installation Software and Full/Basic Driver: This offers just the basic drivers for print and scan.
  • Download the HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software.
  • Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

2. Check Windows Update:

  • Sometimes, Windows Update might have available drivers for your printer.
  • Go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and check for updates.
  • If any driver updates are available, install them.

3. Restart the Scanner Service:

  • Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type services.msc and press Enter.
  • In the Services window, locate Windows Fax and Scan service.
  • Right-click on the service and select Restart.

4. Re-connect the Printer:

  • If your printer is connected via USB, try disconnecting and reconnecting it to your computer.
  • For Wi-Fi connections, ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer. You might need to re-configure the Wi-Fi connection on the printer itself.
