Hi @Onigbinde,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Here’s how to connect your HP laptop to your HP printer so you can scan using the HP app:

Steps to Connect and Scan with the HP App

1. Install the HP App

2. Connect Your Printer

  • Make sure your printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
  • If the printer is not connected:
    • On the printer control panel, go to Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
    • Select your Wi-Fi and enter the password.

3. Add Printer in HP App

  • Open the HP App on your laptop.
  • Click Add a Printer.
  • Select your printer from the list.
  • If it doesn’t appear, click Set up a new printer and follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Start Scanning

  • In the HP App, select Scan.
  • Choose Scan from Printer or Scan from Computer.
  • Adjust settings like resolution, color, and file type.
  • Click Scan and save the file to your desired location.
