We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Deskjet 3755

I get a vertical line when scanning with Deskjet 3755.  I understand why & what to do to remedy, BUT, I don't know how to get to the glass.  I am trying to scan 25 pages with crayon drawings! (probably not the best idea), so it will likely continue to pick up debris, even though I try to keep pictures "clean." I will need to clean often during this process. .

@Sassy46, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

  • Are you using a MAC or a Win PC to scan?
  • Have you tried scanning other documents to check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy from the glass and check if the vertical line persists. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

If the issue occurs while copying/scanning all types of documents, then this could be a hardware issue.

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Update the printer firmware
