The printer should work, although you may need to configure the router so that the printer is forced to connect to the 2.4Ghz radio channel. This is typically done by creating a separate SSID with a unique name for the 2.4Ghz radio in the router and restricting the printer connection to only that unique SSID.

 

In terms of fax, that will depend on what type of phone line google is going to provide. The machine will require an analog phone line or an adapter. Fax communication over IP is not ideal but does work. Turning transmission speed down and turning off error correction for fax will often improve performance.
