Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).
Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan

Photosmart C4600 All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Can I scan negatives with the C4600 All-in-One (c. 2009)? Scanning photos is still fine - slow but fine. If so, how?

I can't figure out how to change the scan settings. The only scan type I have is Picture and Document. Once it scans, the HP Scanning box appears for me to edit the picture the Negatives from TMA option but it's grayed out since my scan type wasn't Negative.

I'm using HP solution center software. I tried using the HP app from the windows store but it didn't seem helpful.

Several questions in this, I suppose. Any help is appreciated.

Your device doesn't support TMA that is needed for scanning negatives.

Thanks, at least I'm not going crazy now on to a new scanner 🙂
