Officejete 6600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had this printer for a long time and recently started getting a message that the Status.dll was not installed. I've uninstalled and installed the full software many times, even cleaning out the Registry etc, but still get this message, In additon, none of the HP stuff apart from Update and Support Assistnt now appear in Programmes from Windows Start and I do not have HP Scan and Capture. Running Docotr just says the driver is missing and to go to Support, which then claims not to have any drivers for the printer!

How can I get this to work again? Worst printer I've ever bought

Update - I've now uninstalled this printer, deleted all the leftover stuff under HP and bought a new one, but still get this message on start up. Where would be the  setting that asks to load this status.dll, so that I can delete it?
