Welcome to HP support community.

Open the task manager ([Windows] + R or Ctrl + Alt + Del keys) and try killing the process from there.

Or delete job files from print queue

  1. Turn off the printer using the power button and then unplug the printer power cord from the power outlet.

  2. In Windows, search for and open Services.

  3. In the Services window, right-click Print Spooler, and then select Stop.

Service window the Print Spooler service selected from the Name list and the Stop selection called out.

  4. After the service stops, close the Services window.

  5. In Windows, search for and open C:Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS.

  6. Delete all files in the PRINTERS folder.

Let me know if that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

This does not address my question.   I want to cancel IMMEDIATLEY.  On my 8600 there was a red X that I could quickly hit to cancel the job .  By the time I did all you suggested it would have already printed.

Yes you can hit red X to cancel the print job.

Feel free to contact us in the future if you need any assistance.

No you cannot - there is no red X on a 9015 or I would not have asked the question.

In that case, deleting from the queue is the only quicker way to stop printing.

I hope that helps.
