I have an Officejet Pro 8620 that has gotten disconnected from my HP Envy desktop, and I cannot reconnect it. The connection was wireless. I tried several obvious things, up to and including the root solution recommended for a similar problem, uninstalling the HP printer, removing drivers and folders, and reinstalling the HP driver, but none of that worked.

Did you check if the printer and the desktop are connected to the same wireless network?
