Product: HP ENVY4500
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HPENVY4500 is connected to Windows 10 PC by USB. I can print but not scan. I have downloaded the software . It says Enable scanning but how do you do that. I can print and scan from wirelsss connected PCs to the same printer.

Please try this scan solution:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
