officejet 8710 - Windows 10 - I've been trying to print on envelopes sized 8.5 x 5.5, I followed the instructions to add custom paper size ( https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03890386/ ) and successfully added this size. Then I filled the paper tray with envelopes of this size and chose "custom" as the paper size. When I tried printing I got the message that the paper in the tray does not match the size "custom". 

 

Please help

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Do you see the name of the custom paper size you have created in the paper size options? If yes, then select that and then try printing.

 

If you do not see that name of the custom paper size you have created then you might have to create it again and save it correctly.

It showed up in the paper options on the PC and I selected it . It didn't show up on the printer so I selected custom .
