I am getting a on inch strip of color lines when scanning or copying any document. I have cleaned all the areas of the scanner glass and plugged the scanner directly to a power socket, per all the instructions I have seen provided in the community. I still have this issue. Can anyone in HP Support address this issue?? What is the real fix here.

Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.
For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.
Try scanning, if the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
