I have Windows 7

My printer is connected via USB and when I go to scan something I get the message "An error occurred while scanning"

I have tried the HP Scan doctor but it couldn't fix the problem

Hi,

I am glad you put the solution on public awarness. It is the best solution. You can reinstall how much you want it doesn`t help you can restart computer and scaner as well it bring nothing. The true problem is in services. Thank you for it.

Fot this type printer it is major problem I made it couple times what you describe and it was previously advice from HP support. I believe it should be spread for free for everyone because it is true reason why those printers have problems with their scanners. All the best and I wish to see more such people like you.
