Document feeder does not work with scanning HP Office pro 8035

HP Office Pro All in one 8035
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The scanner says documents loaded in feeder.  Scanner wont recognize computer.  I have to pull it up on my desktop.  When I scan it only scans from glass (single page) and wont pull documents loaded into feeder.  I have downloaded the complete version of the driver as well.  Still does not work.

Welcome to HP support community.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

Set scan preferences

Change settings in HP Scan before you complete a scan job.

Selecting a shortcut and making sure settings are correct for the scan job

  1. Scan Shortcuts

  2. Show Viewer After Scan check box

  3. Source options

  4. Scan settings

  5. More

  1. Select a Scan Shortcut, such as Save as PDF or Email as JPEG.


    To save or email a multi-page scan as a single file, select a PDF shortcut. Multi-page JPEG scans save as separate files.

  2. Select the Show Viewer After Scan check box.

  3. If your printer has both a document feeder and scanner glass, select Document Feeder if loaded under Source.

  4. Make sure the other settings such as Page Size, Color Mode, and Page Sides match your scan job.
