Document feeder doesn't work when scanning

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My document feeder doesn't work when I'm scanning. It works fine for copying just not for scanning. How can I fix this

Hi,

Are you scanning from the printer front panel by selecting Computer?

 

Can you see any difference when scanning from the Flatbed Glass?

 

When you scan from the HP Scan Software on your PC, can you successfully scan from the feeder?

I think you misunderstood the question. The scanner works fine from the flatbed glass. It's the document feeder that doesn't work for scanning.

Hi,

Please click the Start button and then the Gear icon (Settings).

Click on Apps and search for HP, then uninstall the Basic Device software from the list:

Once the uninstall completes, download and reinstall the latest software below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJP9010/HPEasyStart-12.0.38-OJP9010_49_6_4502_1_1...

 

Now try scanning from the front panel and check for nay difference.
