Officejet 6950
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Every time I try to scan a multi-page document using the document feeder, the scan jams on the third page of the document. The 3rd page feeds halfway through the document feeder, and then stops, giving a document feeder jam message. I've tried resetting the printer.

DO NOT REPLY WITH CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS. I've seen this asked before and seen HP "experts" reply with copy and pasted cleaning instructions, rather than attempt to solve the issue.

It seems to me like a firmware update should be written to update this, please help!

Hi @FergalJ

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Appreciate you trying the steps. Let's try these steps to reset the printer -

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue still persists, this could be an issue with the sensors and I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
