I need to send encrypted PDFs from the scanner for the office jet 8710. I receive the PDF and can open it with the password I set up on the scanner, however, whenever I try to print or duplicate the document, I get a new window popping up asking for the password again. When I enter the same password I used to open the document, it doesn't accept the password. Therefore I'm unable to print or duplicate the files.
Anyone know how to solve this?

This could either be an issue with the application you are trying to print or the driver installed on the OS. I would recommend
Try the solutions below, and then try to add your printer to HP Easy Scan.
- Update HP Easy Scan: Open the PDF application. On the upper bar, click on the name of the PDF application, click Check for Updates, and then install any available updates.
- Run Apple Software Update: Click the Apple menu , click System Preferences, and then search for and install any available updates.
Now, try to print.
