OfficeJet 5740
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just hooked up my 5740 in my office and am trying to send a fax, but I keep getting various error codes such as 349, 346, etc.  I've read all the articles and posts about communications errors, bad phone lines, etc.  One thing I am trying to do is to temporarily suspend Call Waiting.  On my system, I do this by entering the prefix *70.  I've entered this into the DIAL PREFIX field in my Fax Settings.  However, this code alone does not tell the fax machine to wait for second dial tone or wait 2 seconds before continuing to dial, and I do not see any way of inputting such codes.  I recall that all fax machines used to have this functionality, usually with a W for Wait for Second Dial Tone or a * for Wait 2 seconds.

Can someone tell me how to tell my 5740 to Wait after dialing *70 before dialing the rest of the number?
