HP Envy Photo 6230

If I don't use the printer for a few days, the first time I ask it to scan or print from any of my devices, Laptop windows 10, MacBook Pro or iPad, the printer crashes and needs to be turned off and rebooted. It then works fine, until the next time I come back to it a few days later and it crashes again.

My conclusion is that it must be a firmware problem in the printer. Anyone know how to help?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's restore the Printer's network settings:

1. From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch ( Settings ). 2. Touch Restore Network Settings, and then follow the onscreen instructions. 3. Print the network conƭguration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

Once done. connect the Printer back to the Wi-Fi.

Let me know if this helps.
