I have a new HP Officejet 8025 that "scans to email" with a grey background.  Doesn't matter if it's a document or picture. Prints fine normally and scans to my computer with the expected white background.  Is there a good solution posted somewhere in this forum?   I tried to call yesterday and after an hour on hold I was cut off!

 

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks, Mike

I am not sure what was updated, but I am now able to Scan to Email without a grey background...Tried today on several documents (not pictures) and it worked fine.   I am guessing a firmware update was applied?   Hope most of you that were on this thread have the same result!

I have the same issue - brand new printer.  Prints fine.  But, when I scan to email - I get my document with a dark grey background.  I haven't been able to get anyone on the 800 number.  Very upsetting.

Since this happens only with the Scan to email feature, request you to set it up and check.

I have the same issue as do lots of other people apparently - HP support is beyond useless and has no fix for this (nor do they appear to have any idea what it is).  I will say that this is a recent issue and my scan to emails from a few weeks back didn't have this problem. I think it's something from the most recent firmware update that they will hopefully correct.

I am having the same problem with my HP OfficeJet Pro 8530.  I have restored to factory settings and have all the firmware updates.  It worked fine the first couple of times initially when I first got the printer, now it doesn't.  Please help.

So, I too just purchased a brand new HP OfficeJet 8025 - prints great: in black & white and color.... BUT the Scan to email is black and gray!!! NOT good!  I need black and white!

 

Someone please help me fix this ASAP!
