We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

After using for a year with no problems, my HP Smart tells me the printer is off line each time I try to scan, even though its not.

 

I've read through all the other forum questions of a similar nature - I've checked printer & mac have the same network ( Have also removed and rejoined), have reset my printers on the mac, unintsalled and reinstalled the HP software but it still does it. If I forget printer on the HP SMart app, it will find the printer again and allow me to scan once, but then says its offline again. Diagnose and Fix only tells me theres nothing wrong and prints a test page, whilst still telling me the printer is offline. Ive no issues with printing anything in any app, and if I scan via the mac rather than the HP Smart its fine ( although more long winded).

 

Any ideas?

SOLVED IT!

It seems to be since the update of HP Smart. I clicked on the little profile icon on the top right, and logged into my HP account and now its online. Seems a bit of a ripoff to get people to create an HP account, but still its working and thats all I care about at the moment.
