Hello Yall, having an unusual issue and wanted to know if you have too. I just got this printer last month and it has been working fine till noww (HP color LaserJet Pro M478f-9f) trying to scan it won't scan, will print but no scan. Checked the help forum and did what it said, turned off the printer, etc, will scan now but only through the Smart app and not through the scan utility...
Does anyone know why that is? (scan utility name is just: HP Color LaserJet Pro M478f-9f-HP Scan)
I just want to make sure there isn't anything else wrong...

From the search bar type CMD, right-click on Command-Line and select Run as Administrator, be sure to confirm any prompt by pressing Yes.
Past the following command and press enter:
Sc config stisvc depend= rpcss/ShellHWDetection
Now restart your computer and try scanning, may you see any difference?
If you are still cannot scan using the HP Scan software, can you successfully launch the HP Color LaserJet Pro M478f-9f software icon under the HP apps folder within the Start menu?
