HP ScanJet Pro 2500f1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Last week my Dell Insipon Computer stopped recognizing my HP scanner. Nothing has changed in my set up other than Windows 10 updates. I have downloaded the HP software, removed the old drivers, etc., and reinstalled with no changes. In the past when I had this issue I could change USB ports or restart my machine and things would work themselves out. This time , however, numerous restarts, software uninstalls and re installs, port changes, nothing will come up. Windows does not recognize that there is a scanner to add. Nothing comes up when I ask to '"Add a Printer/Scanner."

Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 10, 64 bit operating system, up to date with updates.
