Product: Scanjet 300 flatbed
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hi all,

 

wanted to check if drivers for MacOS Sierra are avaliable for HP ScanJet 300 flatbed scanner.  

 

Right now can't see 10.12 in the supported drivers list. 

Also there is topic on apple support about it: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7854039?start=0&tstart=0  

 

If ScanJet 300 is not yet compatible with Sierra is there are any plans or ETA to provide drivers? Or we better look to other hardware?

Hi,

Connect the scanner to your Mac, ten follow HP Easy Start below, it should locate your scanner drivers and HP Easy Scan:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

If you experience any issues install the following drivers:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-esse...

 

Next install HP Easy Scan below:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-easy-scan-1_8...

 

And be sure to add your scanner under System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

As listed in my previous post both the scanner driver and HP Easy Scan are included, the second link is the scanner driver...

 

I can confirm the driver work in Sierra, therefore I included it 🙂
