Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

i can not scan through HP Smart APP 

HP Smart APP scan problem (Scanning is currently unavailable)

also scan button on printer touchscreen also not scan. it says this feature is not under usage

@Umut_G, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

I see that you have issues with scanning from HP Smart App, to be able to assist you better, I'd like to know the following-

 

Are you able to make photocopies on the printer?

Have you tried scanning using the Apple Image Capture?

 

If the above works, you can try to remove and add the HP smart app. Follow the steps below:

 

1.) Open Finder and click Applications

2.) Move HP Smart App to Trash and clear the Trash.

3.) Open Finder then click Go and Click Home.

4.) Click View then Click Show View Options. Check the box Show Library Folder.

The change is instantaneous and the Library folder will immediately become visible.

5.) Open Library and Open Application Support, move the HP Smart folder to Trash and clear the Trash.

 

Download and install the HP Smart app and try scanning.
