Agree.  It worked for me.  I believe a restart is required.  Windows Update will delay the upate until the computer is not busy.

Microsoft released a patch today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3133431 that fixes the error introduced by 3132372. The new update allows embedded Adobe Flash files to run in the browser. This should fix issues with HP Solution Center.

Please do not uninstall MS security updates and leave yourselves vulnerable.

So, at last there seems to be a proper resolution to this frustrating problem. Installing KB3133431 indeed allows Solution Center to run again (and removes update KB3132372 after hiding).

BUT, what a lot of misery and effort could have been avoided if HP had only bothered to follow their own forum and deigned to provide some help/information about one of their key pieces of software! It doesn't leave one with a lot of confidence in their attitude to customer support.

Thanks again, JimNY!

I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 on May 3rd.   I found this topic by chance.  My HP Solution Center will not run as so many others found previously. My installed updates when viewed date back to February 2nd so do not show KB313431, which seems to have resolved users problems.  I guess it would be included in whatever subsequent build I downloaded and installed.

I wonder if there is anything further I can do?
