HPEnvy7640 no longer in warranty. Believe scratch on glass strip is causing line on scan, fax, copy. Can I replace the glass strip?

Try performing troubleshooting steps under the section Lines or color bands in copies from this document HP Printers - Resolving Copy Problems.
If the glass strip has any physical damage or scratch on it, it cannot be replaced.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. HP does have Out Of Warranty service options too.
