Have had the Scanjet G4050 for years but never have been able to get the slides to scan.
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Have had the HP Scanjet 4050 for years, never have been able to get the slides to scan. Updated the driver and it does connect to computer. When trying to scan I put the template on scanner glass and then load a slide. Does the whole tray have to be filled? Are there supposed to be covers for the slides ( negative templates have light shields included) that are not filled in? All I get is a middle 2 inch black stripe as a scan result. What do I need to do to make this actually work? Nothing in the trouble shooting or instructions gives any solutions.
