Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

During setup I was required to enter a scan prefix for scanned files. I entered "scan." This is suppoised to increment - ie scan001, scan002 etc but it does not so I get bothered by the save dialog every time. In addition I would like, if possible, to incorporate the date and time in the filename. My 5 year old Canon multifunction does this perfectly.

REgards and Thanks

Hi,

From the HP Officejet Pro 8710 software open the Scan tab and select scan a document or photo.

Select the required scan shortcut.

Click the More > link in the right pane

Open the Destination tab.

Uncheck the box next to 'Show Save As dialog box', then scan will auto number without showing the save as dialog.

Click the File Name drop-down above and then check the boxes next to Date amd Time to add a the details automatically to the filename.

Press OK and then click the disk icon near the shorcut name to save the changes.
