Product: Laserjet Pro MFP M277dw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

The program I use to scan works best with a TWAIN driver. Using the HP scan doctor it appears that both a WIA driver and TWAIN driver are available on my MFP M277 scanner, but the select option only shows the WIA. How do I find the TWAIN driver?

Please try this scan solution:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Thank you for your response. I have a driver. It is listed as WIA-HP CLJM277 scan driver 1.0(32-32). I downloaded the printer/scanner doctor from HP and tested the scanner. The test checked as OK "Recommended updates, Device Manager, Windows (WIA) scan, and HP TWAIN scan." But the only driver available to me is the WIA driver. I am looking for access to HP TWAIN scan. Checking for driver downloads is difficult because the drivers listed refer to printer drivers. Since my scanner is part of a MFP I don't know what the model is.

 

The doctor did say that it was unable to find the HP Scan software. Could that be my problem?

I have the same Problem. I need a TWAIN driver for the 277dw under Win10.

 

To make it clear: It works fine now with the current (extended) scanning software from HP but the scanner is now not available for other products like IfranView which allow batch scanning for example. 

 

So, is there a TWAIN driver for this model?
