By default your printer will scan documents to pdf files and images/photos to jpeg or jpg files. All you have to do is to trick your printer to scan document as image/photo and Select San a photo from glass

Note: You have to scan EACH page as ONE jpeg file, you CAN'T combine few pages to 1 jpeg file.

Regards.

On my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus the only option it gives me 4 options when scan is selected is Computer, Memory Device, Network Folder and Email. Please advise. Thank you. Hoho19

Those are destinations of scanned files. Before that, you should have option to Scan a Dosument or Photo. Where do you scan from (from computer or from printer itself ?).

Please try HP Scan Extended using the following software (for Windows machines only):

           ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10:

(a) Hit Win key,
(b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
(c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"

I am trying to scan a document.  My printers says to set PC to start scanning.  I do not know how to do that. I asked Google.  Google told me to search Windows for and open Devices and Printers.  Right-click printer and …    I do not know how to open Devices and Printers.
